• This creature is dead.

Sources of Dead

• If a playable character or companion fails three Death Saving Throws after being  Downed they become dead.
• If a non-playable creature reaches zero hit points from damage that is not  non-lethal they become dead.

Notes

• If a fallen player character, companion, or hireling dies and its body is unavailable, a Soul Echo appears instead.
• This condition can be removed from hirelings, the player character, and their companions with  Revivify, a  Scroll of Revivify, the  Scroll of True Resurrection or through  Withers' services.
  • Non-playable characters cannot be revived after dying.
  • In most cases, companions who die before recruitment – or during certain plot events – cannot be revived.
  • Temporary companions with scripted deaths, namely  Alfira and  Losiir, cannot be revived.
