Defensive Attack

Defensive Attack is a passive feature/reaction that lets the wielder of  Defender Greataxe temporarily sacrifice one Enchantment level from the axe to gain +1 bonus AC and saving throws. This choice is given when making the first attack with the axe in a round.

Description

When making your first attack of the round, you can reduce this weapon's enchantment by 1 to increase your  Armour Class and  Saving Throw bonus by 1.

Notes

• This provided reaction is only triggered when making the first attack with  Defender Greataxe in a round. Subsequent attacks do not give an opportunity to activate this action.
• The -1 penalty to attack rolls from Defensive Attack is applied to the attack that triggers the reaction. The confirmation prompt for the reaction shows the attack roll as well as AC of the target, so the weilder can decline the reaction if it would turn a hit into a miss.
