Notes

  • If a creature casts Haste on themselves and then casts another Concentration Concentration spell, they immediately gain the Lethargic Lethargic condition and the new spell ends, resulting in the loss of the spell slot or scroll used.
  • Casting Haste on an already Hastened Hastened creature immediately ends their turn, as they become Lethargic, but the duration of Haste on the creature is refreshed. If the caster and the target are on the same turn in initiative, this can be used to "chain" casts of Haste on a creature while delaying the negative effects of Lethargic by casting Haste on the creature after they finish their turn, but before actually pressing "End Turn".
  •  Gontr Mael grants Celestial Haste Celestial Haste, a variant of this spell which only lasts 5 turns but does not trigger Lethargic when it ends. Recharge: Long rest Recharge: Long rest
  • While the description of Haste states that it doubles the target's movement speed, it only adds 9 m (30 ft) to their total.
  • The granted extra Action is significantly stronger than the one given by the D&D 5e version of the spell; in the tabletop game, that Action can instead only be used to take the Dash Dash, Disengage Disengage, or Use an Object actions, or to make a single weapon attack.
    • Honour mode largely returns the granted extra Action to tabletop functionality.
  • The incantation for Haste is Provolo, Latin for "Fly forth" or "Rush out".
