Where to find

Notes

  • This ring is one of few pieces of equipment that works while under the effect of wild shape. Note that it works with a Circle of Stars Druid's Starry FormStarry Form, but not with a Circle of Spores Druid's Symbiotic EntitySymbiotic Entity.
  • Two ways among many to trade for this item are:
  1. Have the player character stand next to the entrance to the Tiefling Hideout and use a ranged attack, then immediately enter the hideout; upon climbing back up the ladder, the attacker will be able to speak with the Ox and trade to "...smooth things over".
  2. Have the attacking character flee via stealth and / or invisibilityinvisibility.
  • The Mark of the Shifter condition is only applied during transformation and lasts until Long Rest; it will not be applied if this ring is put on after the wearer has already shapeshifted.
  • Shapeshifter's Boon does not take effect if the party member is shape changed via a SeemingSeeming spell cast by a different party member. However, the targeted party member can then gain this effect by casting Adjust SeemingAdjust Seeming themselves and picking a different appearance.

Bugs

  • After application of Mark of the ShifterMark of the Shifter, the wearer can unequip this ring for others to use without losing the condition.
