Sword of Chaos

Sword of Chaos is a very rare +2 greatsword which deals additional ⁠⁠Necrotic damage and also restores a portion of the wielder's health on each successful hit.

The sword of Sarevok, brother of  Gorion's Ward and child of the evil god Bhaal. Though much of its power died with him, the sword is still formidable, and glows with a malevolent light.

 Rush Attack ()

Charge forward and attack the first enemy in your way, possibly pushing them  Off Balance. ( Recharge: Short rest.)

Notes

• The Sword of Chaos is also found in Baldur's Gate 2. The description of the item in Baldur's Gate 3 refers to the events of the storyline of the previous game.

Notes included from Chaos:

• Chaos does not trigger when damaging items.
• On-heal effects such as Blessed Mercy do not trigger through Chaos either.
• The wielder is healed upon each instance of damage. This means that in the case of attacks which deal multiple damage types, such as  Booming Blade and  Divine Smite (as well as other Smite spells), or in the case of attacks which damage multiple targets, such as  Slashing Flourish (Melee), the wielder is healed multiple times.
• The in-game description says "On a hit, regain 1d6⁠⁠Hit Points.".
