Jaheira Jaheira defines her family as consisting of herself, her wards, and several animals.[1]

Overview[edit section | visual editor]

The family home is a building called Elerrathin's Home in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. The basement of the building is a small lush cavern where Jaheira keeps supplies and her personal effects, including several very rare items.

Attacking any of her children turns Jaheira and Minsc Minsc hostile. If neither of them are in the active party, they permanently leave after the player character talks to them.

Characters[edit section | visual editor]

  • Fig Fig - acts as the home's 'sentinel', stopping and questioning any new visitors. She spends her day on the porch, practicing swordsmanship against a dummy.
  • Jaheira Jaheira - the stepmother of the family, who seems to be away most of the time.
  • Jhessem Jhessem - a child who speaks with the decorum of nobility. She has found a family tree of Jaheira's and dreams of becoming a queen of Tethyr Tethyr.
  • Jord Jord - a druid apprentice who watches over plants in the house. He can share a story of Jaheira defending him from a meddlesome merchant when he was nine years old.
  • Rion Rion - an unspoken leader over other wards in Jaheira's absence. A former member of the Flaming Fist, she occasionally makes moves to keep order in the neighbourhood.[2]
  • Tate Tate - described by Jaheira as a "little sneak-thief". He seems to be the latest one adopted, apparently having lost his parents to the Cult of the Absolute.[3] Tate is afraid of losing his new family as well, and prefers to remain upstairs, eavesdropping on conversations.

Notes and references[edit section | visual editor]

  1. ↑ Precise ages of the family members are not known. The character UIDs give the relative ages within each gender (Jord > Tate, and Rion > Jhessem > Fig), and it is clear that Jord is older than Jhessm or Fig. One of the devnotes in LOW_JaheirasHouse_AD_GossipAboutHiding describes Jhessem as Tate's "theatrical younger sister", suggesting that he might be the eldest of the three young children.
  2. ↑ As stated in  Final Warning letter, found in the garden room.
  3. ↑ As stated in  Harper Report: No Leads letter in the mailbox.
