Protection from Poison

Protection from Poison is a level 2 abjuration spell. It allows spellcasters to grant the creature they touch protection from Poison and poisonous effects.

Description

Touch a creature to neutralise all poisons affecting it, and grant it protection against poisonous influences.

Grants  Advantage on  Saving Throws against being  Poisoned, and Resistance to ⁠Poison damage.

How to learn

Classes:

• Class level 3: Cleric and Druid
• Class level 5: Paladin and Ranger

Other ways to learn:

• There are no scrolls available for wizards to transcribe to their spellbooks.  Scroll of Protection from Poison has been entirely removed from the game.

Notes

• If cast by a Cleric, Druid, or Paladin, this spell must remain Prepared; removing Protection from Poison from the caster's Prepared Spells list removes the buff from all party members whom the caster applied it to.
• In addition to  Poisoned, this spell also grants  Advantage on  Saving Throws against  Cloudkill,  Nauseous,  Poisonous Slime Bomb, and poison coatings (but not toxins).
