Notes
- This item is used by the the Apostle of Myrkul and under normal gameplay conditions cannot be acquired.
- An Oathbreaker Paladin levelled up to level 12 (e.g., by using mods, cheats, or – possibly – meticulous XP management[verify]) before facing the apostle, can use Control Undead on Ketheric Thorm. Level 12 is salient here because Control Undead requires the target's level be under the user's level, and Ketheric is level 11.[verify] Killing him while under this condition causes him to drop the scythe. However doing this severely hampers the party and also softlocks the game under most circumstances, as Ketheric's body does not appear, and his Netherstone cannot be obtained. This also likely results in the party being unable to leave the Mind Flayer Colony.
- However, if Ketheric is killed using the method listed above, a party member can ring the Filigreed Feywild Bell and insult Dolly Dolly Dolly, prompting her to polymorph them; in turn circumventing the restriction on fast traveling out of the colony.[verify]
