Amplify your reflexes to better contend with incoming missiles. Ranged weapon attacks against you have Disadvantage, and their damage is halved. ( Recharge: Short rest.)

Shield Bash

When a foe hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to knock it  Prone unless they succeed a  Dexterity Saving Throw.

Notes

• Golbraith must be convinced of the party's courage against  Mind Flayers.
• Apparently, Golbraith was a friend of  Abdel Adrian, the canonical identity of Gorion's Ward, the main character of the previous installments of the Baldur's Gate series. Some details about this can be read about in the book  Confidant of a Duke found on a bookshelf beside Golbraith. However, neither Golbraith nor this shield appear in any previous games. Golbraith is loosely based on a fan of Baldur's Gate 3, who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

• This reaction triggers the class action  Shield Blow against the attacker.

• The description of this passive incorreclty states it requires a Dexterity saving throw; it instead requires a Strength saving throw.
