Cordrane the Recent is a duergar wizard who peddles necromantic charms in the Sorcerous Sundries in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate.

Involvement

Cordrane is in the necromancy area with  Alice Althea, attempting to sell her some necromantic charms to summon a fresh, "completely safe" zombie to perform various menial chores. Upon approaching him the first time, he casts  Animate Dead: Zombie on a nearby corpse as a demonstration. He claims the summoned  Zombie also makes a low-cost bodyguard and is great at food disposal and cleaning.

Limit a foe's sight range. It is easier to hit, and the creature will miss more often.

 Attack rolls against it have  Advantage and the foe attacks with  Disadvantage.

Prevent the target from healing until your next turn. The target cannot help  Downed characters. An undead target receives  Disadvantage on  Attack Rolls.

Possibly  Poisons the target.
