Gaseous Form

Gaseous Form is a level 3 transmutation spell. It allows spellcasters to transform themselves or an ally into a cloud of mist to avoid attacks, reduce size, and gain Advantage on some Saving Throws.

Description

Transform yourself or an ally into a tiny gas cloud. It can't fall, and fits through small openings. It is very hard to damage.

The cloud has  Advantage on Constitution, Dexterity, and Strength  Saving Throws.

While transformed, the target won't be able to attack, cast spells, or talk.

• The target's Strength and Dexterity scores are set to 10 while in this form.
• Immune to  Bleeding.

How to learn

Classes:

• Class level 5: Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard, Circle of the Spores (Circle Spell), and Circle of the Land (Underdark)
• Class level 6: College of Lore (via Magical Secrets)
• Class level 9: Swarmkeeper
• Class level 10: Bard (via Magical Secrets)

Other ways to learn:

• Wizards with a Level 3 Spell Slot can transcribe a  Scroll of Gaseous Form to their spellbooks.

Notes

• The description "fits through small openings" includes traveling to different regions by going through small openings (pipes, animal burrows, cat holes, etc.), but also includes moving through 'walls' with openings in them like prison bars and gates.
• While in  Gaseous Form, the user can  fly.
