Duelling is a fighting style passive feature.

Description

When you are wielding a melee weapon that is not Two-Handed in one hand, and no weapon in the other, you deal an additional 2 damage with that weapon.

You can carry a shield in your free hand and still gain this bonus.

Notes

  • This passive adds its damage to ThrowThrow attacks with ThrownThrown weapons that hit while wielding a qualifying weapon with the melee weapon set selected. The Thrown weapon cannot be equipped prior to Throwing it, unless it is dual wielded and in the main hand.
    • If the Thrown weapon is in the off-hand, it does not receive the bonus damage unless no ranged weapon is equipped.
    • The bonus damage is added even if the Thrown weapon is Two-Handed.
    • This feature is tedious to use when Throwing homing weapons, as the weapon always returns to the off-hand when being dual wielded. Gaining the bonus damage of Duelling requires a character to unequip the homing weapon after each Throw and then switch back to their melee weapon set before Throwing it again.
  • Prior to Patch 8, the description implied that Versatile weapons could not be used to gain the bonus damage.

Bugs

  • A thrown Duelling weapon does not receive any additional damage unless it possesses the ThrownThrown weapon property.
