Fighter is a character class in Baldur's Gate 3.

Overview[edit section | visual editor]

Fighters use their martial expertise to fight enemies and support their allies in combat. Fighters use Strength or Dexterity as their primary ability score.

Key Ability Scores
Strength Strength for physical attacks.
Dexterity Dexterity for physical attacks with Finesse and Ranged weapons, Armour Class (non-Heavy armour Heavy armour), and Initiative.
Constitution Constitution for Hit Points (and Concentration Concentration Checks for Eldritch Knights).
Intelligence Intelligence for Spells (Eldritch Knight and Arcane Archer).
Spellcasting Ability
Intelligence Intelligence for the effective use of items, scrolls, and equipment.

Through experience, you acquire new power. You gain the following traits.

Second Wind Second Wind (Bonus Action)
Draw on your stamina to protect yourself. You regain 1d10 + Fighter Level⁠Hit Points⁠Hit Points. (Recharge: Short rest Recharge: Short rest.)
Fighting Style
Choose a fighting style:

You gain a +2 bonus to Attack Roll Attack Rolls you make with ranged Weapons.
DefenceDefence
You gain a +1 bonus to Armour Class Armour Class while wearing armour.
DuellingDuelling
When you are wielding a melee weapon that is not Two-Handed in one hand, and no weapon in the other, you deal an additional 2 damage with that weapon.
Great Weapon FightingGreat Weapon Fighting
When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack with a Two-Handed melee weapon, that die is rerolled once.
ProtectionProtection
When you have a Shield, impose Disadvantage Disadvantage on an enemy who attacks one of your allies when you are within 1.5 m (5 ft). You must be able to see the enemy.
Two-Weapon FightingTwo-Weapon Fighting
When you make an offhand attack, you can add your Ability Score Modifier to the damage of the attack.
