Slack-Skinned Head

The Slack-Skinned Head and Mind-Archive Interface are side-by-side in the Mind Flayer Colony. They are accessible after defeating a Death Shepherd, some winged horrors and various Zombies.

Involvement

Various 'minds' in green jars can be obtained and inserted into the Mind-Archive Interface, which lets the player character have a conversation with the unfortunate creatures via the Slack-Skinned Head.

There are 2 minds on the Nautiloid in the Prologue:

• Dark Mind – near Shadowheart's pod
• Slave Mind – in the Nautiloid Ceremorphosis Chamber

There are 6 minds within the Mind Flayer Colony in Act Two:

• Butchered Mind - on top of a set of shelves with discarded armour, in the Morgue where Chop works
• Closed Mind – on a shelf in Ironfinger's room, in the north-western part of the Barracks
• Fresh Mind – on-top of a stack of mucilaginous boxes beside the elevator leading to the final area
• True Mind – in front of the head in the Necrotic Laboratory
• Waking Mind – is behind a door in the Necrotic Laboratory, only accessible after solving the brain mapping puzzle.

The Waking Mind is unique, as speaking to the head can grant the interacting party member the permanent buff  Githzerai Mind Barrier.
