- The reaction prompt will be shown before the attack roll of a triggering action is made. This means it may be wasted on an attack which ends up missing.
- Not every spell or action that deals lightning or thunder damage can trigger this reaction. Below is a list of player-accessible actions that work with Destructive Wrath. These are actions with the
DamageTypefield set toLightningorThunder. This field is not consistently set for all actions which actually deal these damage types and is set for some actions that deal no damage at all:
- Other actions, even if they deal lightning or thunder damage, cannot trigger Destructive Wrath. Notable examples include:
- Making a normal weapon attack with lightning or thunder damage riders
