Findal is a lightfoot halfling who can be found in the Underground Passage in Act One.

Act One[edit section | visual editor]

Findal is unconscious in the Underground Passage surrounded by Gresh Gresh, Gurza Gurza, Torrack Torrack, and Worm Worm. The party can ignore him or enter the fray to defeat the goblins. If Findal's health is restored during combat, he joins the fight as an ally. He explains that he had been gathering herbs nearby when the Goblins captured him to interrogate him about a weapon, of which he knows nothing about. If Findal survives the encounter with the Goblins, he warns the party that the Underground Passage is trapped before departing for the Grove. This grants A Timely Rescue⁠A Timely Rescue for party members with the Folk Hero Folk Hero background.[1]

If Findal is rescued before confronting Kagha Kagha in Investigate Kagha⁠Investigate Kagha, he will join the party in defeating the Shadow Druids.

If the Goblin Camp is dismantled before the party explore the Underground Passage, Findal's corpse is found along the path, and the  Key of the Ancients can be looted from him. If Findal was not healed before fighting the goblins, and did not die as a collateral damage, this item can be pickpocketed from him while he is still unconscious.

After the party rescue Findal, he expresses his gratitude, to which the party can ask questions or threaten him.

Entangle Entangle (Action + Level 1 Spell Slot)

Vines sprout from the ground, turning it into Difficult Terrain Difficult Terrain and possibly Entangling Entangling creatures within.

Entangled creatures cannot move. An ally can use its help action to try and tear away the vines.

Project a puff of noxious gas, dealing 1d12⁠Poison⁠Poison to a target.

Thunderwave Thunderwave (Action + Level 1 Spell Slot)
Damage: 2~16

Release a wave of thunderous force that pushes away all creatures and objects in an area, while also dealing Thunder⁠Thunder damage.
