Maggran
Maggran is a high half-elf in the Circle of the Emerald Grove in Act One.
Involvement[edit section | visual editor]
Act One[edit section | visual editor]
Maggran guards the Rite of Thorns from a Tiefling mob.
If Kagha is persuaded to turn against the shadow druids, Maggran remains in bear form just outside the druid circle (in the direction of the Secluded Cove). Additionally, if Halsin is saved, a druid in Wild Shape can talk to Maggran in his bear form, who then thanks the party.
"His leaves to shade you. His branches to point your path. His shelter to protect you. Thank you".
"His blessings - our blessings - to thank you."
Combat[edit section | visual editor]
Attacks and actions[edit section | visual editor]
Maggran is not proficient with his armor or shield, and therefore cannot cast spells. He also has no Wild Shape charges and cannot use this ability in combat.
Attackers have Disadvantage on Attack rolls against you.
Doesn't affect creatures that don't rely on sight or that can see through illusions.
Assume the shape of a polar bear that can enemies into attacking it. The polar bear has a starting health of 30 hit points that increases every two druid levels.
While in animal shape, you can't talk or cast spells. You take on the attribution of your beast form - excluding your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores.
When your beast form drops to 0 hit points, you revert to your normal form.
Maggran unfortunately does not have a Wild Shape Charge to actually wild shape into a bear.
