Involvement

Olfaith approaches the party if they kill a name listed on the  Bloodstained Parchment or one of two Flaming Fist officers investigating the murder cases,  Valeria and  Devella Fountainhead. He encourages them to slay one more target (or two, if a Flaming Fist officer was murdered instead) in order to become an Unholy Assassin of Bhaal, as part of the quest to ⁠Impress the Murder Tribunal. If the party kill two murder targets from the list, Olfaith appears again, and tells the party to visit Candulhallow's Tombstones and giving them the password: Sicarius.

If the party choose to attack Olfaith, he reverts to his Doppelganger form. In combat, he is a generic Doppelganger. The  Tombstone Shop Key for Candulhallow's Tombstones can be found on his corpse, as well as a letter titled  An Unexpected Talent which hints that the Murder Tribunal is hidden within the tombstone shop.

If Olfaith is killed during his first appearance, he still appears again if the party kill a second target on the list. However, in this appearance he has a different voice actor, implying that this is actually a different Doppelganger who has assumed the same false identity.

• Olfaith can show up even if the quest ⁠Impress the Murder Tribunal has been completed, including if the party have slain the entire murder tribunal and / or Orin.
