About Lava Elementals

These elemental creatures can manipulate lava. They rapidly heal while standing in  Lava and can use their  Create Lava action to summon Lava underneath them if no Lava is nearby. Controlling and removing a Lava Elemental's access to Lava can be key to defeating one, while effects that prevent targets from regaining hit points, such as the  Bone Chill spell, prevent regeneration regardless of whether the elemental is in Lava.

Involvement

Act One

A Lava Elemental wanders within the lava lake near the Abandoned Refuge in Grymforge. This elemental is aggressive and attacks the party on sight.

Act Three

A Lava Elemental is on display in Sorcerous Sundries. It is not aggressive to the party.
