The Snapping of Strings is a hostile Countermeasure Aberration in Baldur's Gate 3.

The Snapping of Strings may appear during the final battle Atop the Netherbrain if the party side with the Emperor and a Bard is present.

Attacks and actions[edit section | visual editor]

Inspire an ally to go beyond their capabilities with your performance. They can add a +1d6 bonus to their next Attack Roll Attack Roll, Ability Check Ability Check, or Saving Throw Saving Throw.

Invade a target's mind and disrupt its defences. The target's Armour Class Armour Class and Saving Throw Saving Throws are reduced by 1.

If the target dies while its psyche is fractured, you can cast Shatter Psyche Shatter Psyche on another target.

1d6 + 4Piercing⁠Piercing

Make a ranged attack with your equipped weapon.

Silence Silence (Action + Level 2 Spell Slot)

Create a sound-proof sphere. All within are Silenced Silenced and Immune to Thunder⁠Thunder damage.

Damage: 2~12
2d6Psychic⁠Psychic (Per missed attack)

Your targets have Disadvantage Disadvantage on Attack Rolls and take 2~12⁠Psychic⁠Psychic damage each time they miss.
